Albert Braut Haaland, commonly known as Erling Haaland's father, was a professional footballer who played for the Norwegian club, Bryne FK. He was born on August 1, 1973, in Bryne, Norway, and began his career as a striker for his hometown club at the age of 19. Haaland played for Bryne FK from 1992 to 1993 before moving to Nottingham Forest in England for a year. He then returned to Bryne before retiring in 2000 due to injuries.
After his playing career, Haaland worked as a youth coach at Bryne FK and later at the Norwegian Football Federation. He is known for his close relationship with his son, Erling Haaland, who is currently a star player for German club Borussia Dortmund and the Norwegian national team. Albert Haaland has been praised for his role in shaping his son's football career, including advising him to join RB Salzburg, where he made a name for himself before moving to Dortmund.
